Image test from dropbox:
Welcome to the forums!
Alright! Let's try Picasa now. Thank you for the welcome and the feedback, IHateBottleOpeners!
CPG Welcome to the forum! Delighted to have you aboard.
My OCD couldn't allow your unsuccessful Dropbox-image post to go unresolved. Just in case you prefer using Dropbox, found a workaround; might not be the best (or only), but it does work.
Not as tedious as first appears.
In my Dropbox account, when I drag my pointer along screen far-right, a SHARE button pops-up opposite each photo file-name. Click the button opposite your target photo.
This box appears with the photo's link (already selected/highlighted in blue); right-click link and COPY; click CLOSE to get rid of the box.
In the EDCF post-pane, click the INSERT/EDIT IMAGE button (4th from right) on format bar. Now, right-click and PASTE to insert previously copied photo-link into INSERT IMAGE box.
Before you click INSERT button to post your image, one minor tweak of the link is required (because it's not a direct link to your photo).
The pasted link should look something like this: https://www.dropbox.com/s/qz8hf982paooaua/20150624_191835FINAL3.jpg?dl=0. Get rid of "?dl=0" and replace with "?raw=1" (sans quote marks).
Now click INSERT.

I've been trying to get photos up for a couple of days now. We'll se how it goes.
Wow! Thank you xbanker for those details. I will definitely try that again, and it looks simple enough to follow. In fact... let's see if I can get this to work now. Thank you for showing the ropes!
ETA: Looks like it's upside down, but at least it's appearing. Easy enough to solve this one. Thanks again!
CPG Well done!
Long as I'm on a roll, will throw this out too.
A personal nitpick: when using Dropbox as image-host for pics to be posted on forum ... you're limited to posting photo in the size in which it's stored on Dropbox. Not the end of the world, but not nearly as flexible/convenient as, say, Flickr.
When grabbing a Flickr-hosted photo-link to post on forum, several size options are presented. Forum software does automatically downsize when you post a photo, if necessary, but not as much as I prefer (there's that pesky OCD again).
Thanks xbanker - I noticed that on the Dropbox pic, too. Going to look into Flickr for more options. I appreciate the tip on this. Could be a better option.
*doing some pushups and thumbsups*
*febrile punching on the like button*........................... .... ..... .......
gosh! wrong button...
Alright, let's try Flickr:
OK, lets get this kicked off, gotta learn, might as well be now...
