    Hi all!

We would like to announce our latest product that is now available in the forum store, the P-7 Suspension Clip

The P-7 Suspension Clip is THE answer to the common problem of large keyring items sitting at the bottom of your pants pockets...also known as "key fob bulge". That's right, those great new multi-function key fobs that contain RF chips and large batteries are great when it comes to opening your vehicle doors, setting the alarm, etc., but are not very convenient when it comes to carrying them around. It seems like they are getting larger every year. And it's not just key fobs, it's any of those other necessary items you need for Every Day Carry (EDC). Small flashlights, pocket knives, thumbdrives, they all add up to make a nice big lump at the bottom of your pockets. Not only does it look strange, but it also wears out the material around the bulge adding to the problem.
Enter the P-7. It clips onto the top edge of your pocket, allowing anything clipped to it to be suspended part way into your pocket. So you can put large items like your key fob onto the P-7 and keep them separate from the rest of the items at the bottom of your pocket. This is an excellent solution for a key fob with an RF chip which allows you to open your vehicle door by just touching the door handle. No need to pull the fob out of your pocket, just let it hang there! And the clip is very discrete, only the outer fold of the clip is visible so it's barely noticeable. Add one of our McGizmo clips to the included split ring and you can easily add or remove items depending what you need to carry that day.

It's not just a cure for pocket bulge, you can also clip it to the top edge of a purse or interior purse compartment so you always know where your keys are. Just pull it up and your keys (or other important items) are conveniently attached. No more digging around the bottom of your purse. You can find may uses for the P-7 Suspension Clip, just use your imagination!

The P-7 Suspension Clip is made of spring tempered stainless steel, bead blasted to a uniform matte finish. It also includes a stainless steel split ring to allow for attachment of items.
    Size: 7mm (0.28") wide x 39mm (1.53") long.

Now available at the forum store: P-7 Suspension Clip

Hmm.. Looks like that would go nicely with the forum key holder. I am only allowed to buy from the forum store once a week though. I may put this on hold until some other things get to the store and I make some more money.

This is awesome! I have been looking for something like this, but I didn't want to spend a lot for a Ti version, especially since, as you point out, Ti does not hold its shape as well as steel.

PM inbound about an idea for these...

Wow! These look EXACTLY like Munroe Designs Danglers. :-X

    Not cool.

I wouldn't say they look exactly the same. They look similar much like a Wenger SAK looks similar to a Victorinox SAK. So what? In addition, these have been easier to get so far. I emailed the other maker of the Ti clips for weeks without a response. That's not cool.

Which look exactly like a pocket watch chain belt hook clip. Contrary to popular belief, D. C. Munroe, did not invent that style of clip. Google "belt hook pocket watch chain". You will find chains such as this one or this one. In fact, I had a flat metal clip on a pocketwatch that my grandfather gave me twenty years ago. Sal Glesser has attributed his idea for pocketknife clips to a keychain that he had years ago that clipped to his pocket. In fact, several other people have independently come up with the same concept on their own. I had a similar idea going after seeing STR's low-ride clips and the 3"-long keychain belt clips that you can buy at hardware stores.

    D. C. Munroe did a nice job of making them boutique-style Ti pieces and he has added to their functionality considerably by adding pry tools and bottle openers, but he did not invent them. The bottle opener and pry tools are unique innovations, but the pocket clip is not.

Will these be back in stock in the EDCF store soon? It's out of stock here, so I went directly to TA's site, but S&H is as much as the clip itself...

FYI, during checkout you will be given a drop down box selection for shipping methods. If you choose USPS first class it will be very reasonable. The default is UPS which is much higher.

And BTW, I am not trying to cut Jon out of sales...we only have about 3 units left ourselves.

You're right, my bad. Hopefully not all your customers are this dumb, or you might be losing a bunch of sales ... usually the default is lowest- price

We wouldn't mind having the lowest price first, but USPS first class postage is not a trackable option, and MOST people want to be able to track their purchase. So we default to UPS ground which is the cheapest trackable option, and offer the other methods for people who want to save money on shipping.
