Anything out there better than Photobucket that's still free???

It's always been problematic for me, but seems unusually crappy lately...

    Editor has stopped working completely.

I've emailed support, but thought that I might give something else a try...

    What are you using?

    Thanx, JHGM.

    Lately ?
I've been using Photobucket forever. It has ALWAYS been crappy. I've found nothing else that my old computer illiterate self knows how to operate. Maybe it's because I used to steal music with Limewire ?

Flickr - usable on a pc, unusable on a tablet. I'm looking at alternatives.

I use postimg (follow any of my picture links to the web address) .. works great and in my experience is easy to use on phone, pc, or tablet..

I just noticed your comment about an editor within Photobucket.. this site does not have much in the way of editing other than image rotation. I use a locally installed photo editor or photo app to adjust my photos before I upload them.

    Thanx for the replies...

Didn't think about the obvious solution to the editing issue...

I may just keep using PB, but edit my pix before uploading.

    Thanx for the input.

I have an account with both Photobucket and Flickr. They are both free accounts and I guess I get what I pay for, because they are both terrible - slow, unreliable, and sometimes freeze up. Flickr has a complicated process for changing privacy settings that I hate.

I do however suffer with the Photobucket Editor, as it still has better photo editing capabilities than the programs that I have on my computer. Can anyone recommend a good photo editing program?

I was really liking the new tool that would adjust highlights/shadows...

    Until it quit working altogether...

Maybe it was my latest Java update.

If I find a decent editor I'll be sure and tag you jag-engr.

I've switched from photobucket to imgur. Been pretty happy so far

Don't waste your time with Gimp...

Was a open source version of PhotoShop from what I could tell...

Learning curve was much too steep...

    The search continues.

The only editing program I have is PhotoScape, which was recommended by a member here who's name I can't remember.
    It's free.

I use Tapatalk. I've posted how I do photos on there before:

    1. Already have the photos you want loaded in your photo library/camera roll.
    2. Open Tapatalk to the EDC Forums app.
    3. Open "Feed" from the bottom left of the page.
    4. Either start a new thread or open one you're interested in.
    5. In the upper right of that screen there will be a star and three dots. Clicks on the dots.
    6. Choose "Reply". That opens a "Reply Topic" box for you to type in.
    7. When you're ready to add your photo go down to the bottom of that page. There are a series of icons. Open the second one from the left (a box with what looks like a landscape in it).
    8. Then select from "Photo Library", "Camera Roll" or where your pics are stored.
    9. Scroll around until you find the photo you want then click on it: if you did it right you'll now have an Image URL in the "Reply Topic" box, like this: [IMG 27648IMG]
    10. Click "Post Reply" and you're done.

Now, this all seems pretty involved. But, just follow the above steps and you'll do fine.

You guys and your fancy pictures! LOL.. I keep threatening to steal my wife's DSLR. The DSLR that I spent a ton of money on and she rarely uses.. yeah, that one.. that one right there!!!!

:) Then I will get fancy like you guys!!

Hmph, I got a expensive DSLR for Christmas a couple of years ago... and if you look at my
pictures you'll notice that a $700 camera does not make you a professional photographer.

Agreed 100% that an expensive camera does not make a pro! But.. I have managed some pretty nice shots from it before when she wasn't looking.. :) I need to find a better backdrop than my beat up IKEA desk and barely lit office.. that will probably help too! LOL

And your pics look great.. stop it.

I use my cell for all my forum pix...

Got a DSLR at home that I've used to capture some Sports Illustrated worthy pix with...

But of course, when you take several thousand a year odds are you're going to end up with a few that make it look like you know what you're doing!!!
